Airport Location:
The project to build Qom (Salafchegan) International Airport is located in central area of Iran in the road of Qom-Salafchegan (15th KM) . It is located in Qom province and Southwest of Qom city. The ceremony of program initiation was held on 21st Bahman 1389 (10th February 2011) officially presenting by the chairman of Iranian Islamic parliament (Majles).
Program Specification:
Qom international Airport (QIA) is to be built in an area of 6500 hectares by Eram Kish as a private company. The estimated budget for designing and building of airside, terminal and tower is 650 billion Rials and 45 million dollars for the airport management systems and equipments. Qom International Airport is supported by Qom province governor and is under official control of Iranian Civil Aviation Organization and Iranian Airport Company. Building and operation of the airport will be done by investment of Eram Kish Company. The Eram Kish Group has already finished successful projects with vast investments in tourism industry, hotel Industry and airline industry, including the experience of building and operation of Eram Grand Hotel in Kish (5 star) and Eram airlines.
Program Scheduling:
There is a 6 month planned time for the Tourism Complex which is located within the "Airport City", while the Phase 1 of the airport is planned to be finished in 30 months. However, meeting the planned deadlines will be depending on the government support issues for gaining financial sponsorship and also providing the committed critical infrastructures.
